Reliance Communications was founded in India on 31 July 2002 as Reliance Infocomm Limited with the introduction of its nationwide CDMA2000 service. It became Reliance Communications Limited in 2006. The company introduced its GSM service in 2008. It began using MIMO technology in 2011 to improve the quality of its 3G service, providing a data rate of up to 28 Mbit/s. The company provides many services for both landline and mobile usage, of which the main one is Reliance CDMA. Reliance provides services in every aspect of telecommunication right from GSM mobile services, that is 2G or 3G services, to direct to home and broadband services.
